Questions, questions, questions! And a couple of answers:

1. Agent Carter (TV)
   1. Jack Thompson/Original Male Character (AC) - You can request him paired with original characters under Jack Thompson the character, but upon mod consultation, we are not allowing original character nominations at this time.
      
   2. Similarly, gen requests are expected to occur under characters. You don't have to use & pairings, but can incorporate anyone you want with your characters in the prompts. Matching will occur on characters, relationships, and teams. As we are hand matching, that will take prompts into account.
2. Guardians of the Galaxy (Movies)
   
   1. Groot & Guardians of the Galaxy Team (Guardians of the Galaxy (Movies)) - First question, isn't Groot a member of the team? You can just nominate the team. And second question? Which roster do you want: GOTG, GOTG2, some modified version of the above, or any?
      
3. Marvel Comics/Marvel Cinematic Universe
   
   1. Lando Calrissian (Star Wars Comics)/Steve Rogers (MCU) - Star Wars Comics are a Marvel property but they are not part of the Marvel multiverse and probably shouldn't be lumped in under Marvel Comics. You may nominate these under Marvel Cinematic Universe/Star Wars Marvel Comics or one of those two fandoms without the crossover. Which would you prefer?
   2. Steve Rogers (MCU)/Steve Rogers (Ultimates Comics)/Tony Stark (MCU) - This should be nominated under Marvel Cinematic Universe/Ultimates Comics or just plain MCU or Ultimates. Which would you prefer?

Ooh, I'll change it to the team for GoTG. Sorry about that! And any is fine with me.

Also, I made a mistake when nominating Ward Meachum (Iron Fist) & Grant Ward (Agents of SHIELD) and Trish Walker (Daredevil (TV)) - the latter should be under (Jessica Jones (TV)). Sorry about not catching it until this morning!

Earth-7642 (Marvel/DC Crossover Universe)

How strict is Earth-7642? Can we only nominate Marvel and DC characters that were explicitly mentioned in it or would have existed at the time of publication or can we use it as a catch all for any Marvel/DC characters we want to crossover? Is it appropriate to include optional prompts about how certain events that occurred in either company could have gone down in this universe?

Yes to which? That it's only for characters mentioned in it or published at the time or it can be used as a catch all for any Marvel/DC crossover?

Sorry. It's a crossover 'verse. Nominate whoever belongs to either side of the crossover, no problem.

Not a mod, but if it can be of help, the last round was used sort-of a catch-all concerning the characters. For instance, GL appeared in the crossover as Hal Jordan, but another Green Lantern was nominated in his place instead, as a canon divergent AU.

Also, about your prompts question on top thread, I don't see why not. However, if I were you I wouldn't suggest only fix-event prompts, but other kind of prompts too.

I have no problem with exploiting the canonical crossover, but I'm slightly concerned by your statement of catch-all. Please request characters that are IN the canonical crossover. If the character already exists in Earth-7642, please use that version.

I've just double checked again to be on the safe side, and all my nominated characters appear on one or more E-7642 crossover titles. However, not all of them appear in the same title, is that all right?

Out of curiosity, concerning the catch-all thing, do I misremember the way this crossover was treated the last round? Or it is that this rule is going to be different?

(Captcha question: The blue underpants is what colour? is captcha asking about Cap's underpants? :D)

I'm good with adding non E-7642 DC characters in there. I'm just not good with other DC substituting ones already in there in noms. In your requests, go to town.

As for last year, I only remember basically that. I'm not familiar with DC. so I might not have noticed substitutions.

I hope that makes sense.

I've probably misinterpreted then, because more I think of it, more I recall it as a rule. It went with the rule of nominating "Name | Mask", so for example if Steve Cap is in one title, one could've used Bucky Cap, instead? Is that correct?

Ah, yes. But I did check cape names to ensure they appeared in the continuity they were nommed for. That was so taxing, I made cape name optional this year. It's more for disambiguation than aus.
